1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Yesterlight ("Yesterlight," "the App," or "the Game"), provided by Adelyons Software LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to these Terms of Service and End User License Agreement (the "Terms") and to our Privacy Policy. A standalone End User License Agreement is also available and is incorporated by reference. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. The Game

Yesterlight is a single-player, offline, no-account time-travel puzzle game and Myst-like manor mystery. You explore the rooms of Fennick Hall through four eras using a chronoscope era slider, and changes you make in the past ripple forward through later eras. It is a wistful, non-violent mystery — atmospheric rather than a horror game — provided for entertainment. The Game runs entirely on your device; as described in our Privacy Policy, there is no account and no cloud backend, and your save is stored only on your device.

3. License Grant

Subject to these Terms, Adelyons Software LLC grants you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use one copy of the App on a device that you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial use. This license does not transfer any ownership rights. All rights not expressly granted are reserved. See the standalone EULA for the full license terms.

4. Purchases & Billing

• Free tier: The entire East Wing — around an hour of play, all four eras, the full era-slider mechanic, and its journal page — is free, and no payment card is required to start. The free chapter is not time-limited.
• What you can buy: The rest of Fennick Hall is sold as one-time purchases. Three area packs are $3.99 each — the West Wing (Portrait Gallery and Cellar), the North Wing (Conservatory), and The Grounds (garden). An All-Access bundle at $9.99 unlocks all three at once, saving $1.98 against buying them separately. Prices may vary by region and are shown in the App at the time of purchase.
• One-time purchases only: Yesterlight is not sold by subscription. Every product is a non-consumable, one-time purchase that does not auto-renew and is yours permanently. There are no monthly, annual, or lifetime plans.
• No free trial: Because the free East Wing is fully playable and never expires, we do not offer a separate free trial. The free wing is the trial.
• The bundle is a discount, not a gate: Owning all three area packs grants exactly what the All-Access bundle grants, including the finale. The ending is never sold separately, and buying areas one at a time never costs you access to it.
• Hints unlock with any purchase: Your first purchase of any product unlocks the owner's concrete-hint tier. Hints are never a separate upsell.
• Store-managed billing: Purchases are billed through your Apple App Store or Google Play account, using their in-app billing, and are managed through that account. We never see or store your payment-card details.
• Restoring your purchases: Purchases are tied to your store account. Use Restore Purchases in the App to recover them after a reinstall or on a new device, at no additional charge.
• Refunds: Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google according to their respective policies.
• Changes: We may change prices for future purchasers with notice. Purchases you have already made are never revoked or re-charged, and a change to the bundle price never removes access to areas you already own.

5. Your Save & Data

Because Yesterlight is local-first, your progress — your event log, inventory, recovered journal pages, and settings — is stored only on your device; we do not receive, store, or claim any license to it. You are responsible for keeping your own device backups if you wish to preserve your save. See the Privacy Policy for full details.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the App, except to the extent permitted by law;
• Use the App in any unlawful way or to infringe the rights of others;
• Circumvent, disable, or interfere with the App's purchase or licensing mechanisms.

7. Intellectual Property

The App, its design, story, artwork, and software are owned by Adelyons Software LLC and are protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App; they do not transfer any ownership rights.

8. Apple App Store — Additional Terms

If you download the App from the Apple App Store, the following additional terms apply, and you acknowledge and agree that:

• These Terms are between you and Adelyons Software LLC only, and not with Apple Inc. ("Apple"). Apple is not responsible for the App or its content.
• The license granted is limited to a non-transferable license to use the App on any Apple-branded device that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions. To the extent these Terms conflict with Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA), the Apple Licensed Application EULA governs for App Store downloads.
• Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App. Any questions or support requests should be directed to us at dev@adelyons.com.
• If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price (if any); to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the App.
• Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or a third party relating to the App, including product-liability, regulatory, or intellectual-property claims.
• Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms, and upon your acceptance, Apple has the right (and is deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

9. Disclaimers & No Warranty

The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Adelyons Software LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, loss of a save, or loss of profits, arising from or related to your use of (or inability to use) the App, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim related to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us for the App in the twelve months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device, which also removes the data stored locally. We may suspend or terminate this license if you violate these Terms. These Terms continue to apply to your prior use.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Effective date" above and, where appropriate, through an in-app notice. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Iowa, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. You agree that any dispute not subject to the rules of the applicable app store will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Iowa, to the extent permitted by law.
